Being an ardent fan of Leon Jay Williams, I did not want to miss the chance of seeing his debut performance in the drama [La Robe de mariee des cieux]. So at 4.00 pm I switched on the TV and spent the next hour enjoying the drama.

Episode 1 starts off …….

Tao Ai Qing was happy that at last she saved enough for her trip to Paris while Aaron Lu was in Paris to receive the coveted Laurel Award for Fashion Design. In Paris Aaron Lu met an old granny who advised him that he was destined to meet his soul mate here and the coin which she gave him would bring him to his soul mate. Not believing what the granny had said, Aaron Lu threw away the coin which dropped to the ground in front of Tao Ai Qing. Ai Qing picked up the coin. A twist of fate, both Aaron Lu and Ai Qing passed by each other. Experiencing some kind of a strange feeling, Aaron Lu turned around and looked puzzlingly at Ai Qing’s back.

Katrina, a well known model, was Aaron Lu’s girlfriend. After winning the coveted Laurel Award which Aaron Lu presented to Katrina, Aaron proposed to Katrina. Instead of wanting a diamond ring, Katrina requested Aaron to buy the wooden horse that she liked. At the souvenir shop, Aaron met Ai Qing and they both fought for the purchase of the wooden horse. Though Aaron was willing to pay a high price for the wooden horse, the shop owner refused to sell to him. Later that evening Ai Qing came back to the shop and left behind a self-made key chain as replacement for the wooden horse which she took. Aaron saw that and informed the shop owner but the shop owner just ignored Aaron. When Aaron came out from the shop, he had lost sight of Ai Qing.

At the airport, Aaron Lu spotted Ai Qing, managed to catch up with her and asked her for the wooden horse which Ai Qing lied that she had lost the wooden horse.

Back in Taiwan and waking up in the familiar surrounding of her bedroom, Ai Qing’s thoughts were disrupted by her grandfather asking her to get ready for her class with the children at the farmstead.

On the other hand, Cheng Hai Nuo was in a motorbike race when he lost control of his bike which rammed into the fences at the farmstead moving towards where Ai Qing was having her class with the children. The sudden loud pang of noise frightened the children and the horses at the farmstead who ran scatteringly away from being hit by Cheng Hai Nuo’s bike. Cheng Hai Huo’s bike hit a rock with Cheng Hai Nuo letting go of the bike and landed on the ground. Tao Ai Qing asked her grandfather to take care of Cheng Hai Nuo while she pacified the frightened children.

In the midst of the turmoil, three strangers appeared at the farmstead requesting to see the owner of the farmstead. They were representing Globe Corporation to serve notice to Ai Qing’s grandfather to move out as their boss had bought over the farmstead.

While on her way to Globe Corporation’s office, Ai Qing was nearly knocked by Aaron Lu’s car when she fell from her bike which hit a stone. Upon seeing each other, they bickered again. Ai Qing threw the money at Aaron Lu’s face. Aaron Lu sped off with his car with Ai Qing cursing after him. After driving a short distance, Aaron Lu’s car met with a punctured tyre. Ai Qing passed by Aaron Lu, ridiculing him.

Outside Globe Corporation’s office, Ai Qing met her close friend Ah Qi who was a reporter. Ai Qing wanted to barge into Globe Corporation’s office to look for Aaron Lu to discuss on the farmstead matter, but Ah Qi dissuaded her and suggested Ai Qing coming back the next day when Aaron Lu would be holding his first fashion show.

On the other hand, Cheng Hai Nuo was competing in a motorbike race and won the 1st spot. While receiving his winner trophy, Hai Nuo spotted Ai Qing, shouted a nickname [金发牧羊nv] [golden haired ranch girl] at Ai Qing and declared Ai Qing as his girlfriend. Ai Qing ignored Hai Nuo’s remarks and went about selling her lavender-flavoured ice-creams.

That night Ai Qing went to look for her brother, scolding him for selling the farmstead quietly and leaving her & grandfather ‘homeless’ soon. On her way back to the farmstead, Ai Qing fell into Hai Nuo’s arms when she lost control of her bike after her bike knocked into a road’s divider. Hai Nuo invited Ai Qing for a meal when Ai Qing got drunk. The next morning Ai Qing woke up and found herself in a strange room …..

Episode 2 ……

Waking up in a strange room, still with the previous night’s hangover, Ai Qing was trying to remember what happened when Hai Nuo walked into the room and teasingly implied that something happened between them …… Upon hearing this Ai Qing became anxious and scolded Hai Nuo till Hai Nuo’s housekeeper came in to explain to Ai Qing what really happened. Hai Nuo kept a ‘chameleon’ as his pet and thinking it would scare Ai Qing but instead Ai Qing was at ease with his pet. Hai Nuo encouraged Ai Qing if she wished to win, she must be strong-willed and displayed deadly challenging eye stare. While Uncle Zhong related Hai Nuo’s background to Ai Qing.

Hai Nuo presented to Ai Qing her favourite flavoured lollipop and accompanied her to look for Aaron Lu with his motorbike pulling Ai Qing’s bicycle along the streets. This scene was seen by Hai Nuo’s ex-racing team mate, Xiang Zhen. Upon arrival at Globe Corporation’s main entrance Ai Qing was met by her reporter friend, Ah Qi. Ah Qi was attracted to Hai Nuo’s charms. At the same time Aaron Lu’s personal assistant - Freddie also arrived and Ai Qing dodged away avoiding to meet him head-on as he was one of the people who went to the farmstead to give notice for Ai Qing’s grandfather to leave the farmstead. Hai Nuo told Ai Qing not to worry, walked over to Freddie and threatened Freddie to bring Ai Qing to meet Aaron Lu. Hai Nuo gave Ai Qing an encouraging hug and said that he would wait for her outside. Looking at Hai Nuo’s back, Freddie realized Hai Nuo was the motorbike racer that he idolized.

Freddie brought Ai Qing into the building and asked her to wait at a corner and not to move about without his permission. While waiting, Ai Qing saw Katrina with a man whose back gave Ai Qing a familiar feeling. When the man turned around and Ai Qing saw it was the man who she nicknamed as ‘爆发副’ (hot-tempered guy), she became furious and walked up to him. Aaron Lu ignored Ai Qing and went about his chores in helping Katrina dressed up for his fashion show. An impatient Ai Qing could no longer wait and shouted at Aaron Lu showing him the wooden pony while saying that she’s pregnant with his baby. This surprised Aaron Lu, Katrina and everybody who was there. A shocked Aaron Lu immediately grabbed hold of Ai Qing and angrily scolded her for her nonsense remarks. Ai Qing’s remarks had also created an misunderstanding between Aaron Lu and Katrina. A jealous Katrina then refused to model for Aaron Lu’s fashion show and walked off.   Aaron Lu, not about to succumb to Katrina’s jealousy whims, forced Ai Qing to replace Katrina to model his clothes and agreed to discuss the farmstead matter with Ai Qing after the fashion show.

Without further delay, Aaron Lu instructed his staff to expedite their preparation and coached Ai Qing on the catwalk tips. Ai Qing could not believe the transformation in her when she saw herself in the mirror ~~~ after the makeup and wearing the designer’s clothes, Ai Qing has changed from a plain girl into a beautiful lady. But Ai Qing was still very nervous and hesitant of doing the catwalk. Aaron Lu took her to the backstage rest room, calmed Ai Qing with praises of her pretty facial features and sunny smile and planted a kiss on her forehead as an encouragement to build up Ai Qing’s confidence. Hiding behind the curtains one unscrupulous reporter snapped a photo of this scene when Aaron Lu was kissing Ai Qing’s forehead.
Aaron Lu prodded Ai Qing forward to the catwalk stage. When Ai Qing appeared at the catwalk stage, the audiences were surprised to see the short Ai Qing modeling the dress and gave negative comments. The audiences’ jeerings and negative comments affected Ai Qing, making her lose confidence and she just stood nervously at the catwalk’s centre stage. Seeing the noisy crowd and to save the rowdy situation, Aaron Lu quickly instructed the other models to lead Ai Qing and over the wireless phone instructed Freddie to follow what he said. At the look of Aaron Lu’s encouraging eyes stare, Ai Qing regained her confidence and managed to complete the first round catwalk gracefully.

At the 2nd round catwalk show, Ai Qing wore Aaron Lu’s special designed gown and the audiences were amazed when Ai Qing appeared at the stage. While trying to manoeuvre her steps, Ai Qing accidently stepped on the hem of the gown and she fell to the floor …… Everyone was stunned momentarily till Aaron Lu went forward to pull Ai Qing up, described to the audiences the design of the special evening gown and remodify the gown from a long gown to a short gown thereon. The audiences gave Aaron Lu a loud applause for his wonderful creation. While gracing the catwalk stage, Ai Qing felt dizzy and almost fell if not for Aaron Lu’s quick action of pulling her back into his embrace. During that momental embrace, Ai Qing’s heart was beating rapidly and she felt Aaron Lu’s warmth and gentleness.

When the fashion show was over, Aaron Lu held a press conference. In the midst of the press conference, Ai Qing barged in and pestered Aaron Lu to discuss with her on the farmstead matter. This angered Aaron Lu and he furiously ordered Ai Qing to move out of the farmstead within 3 days. Angrily shouting at Aaron Lu that she would file a suit against him, Ai Qingsadly left Globe Corporation’s building with Ah Qi and Hai Nuo consoling her.

A solemn Aaron Lu was in his office, deep in thoughts, when Freddie walked in informing him that the fashion show was a success and received good recognition from some world’s famous fashion designers. Freddie tried to appeal Ai Qing’s matter with Aaron Lu but Aaron Lu was adamant with his decision and instruct Freddie to take charge and ensure that Ai Qing would move out of the farmstead. Aaron Lu left the office and while crossing the streets, he was waylaid by Hai Nuo and friends. Hai Nuo tried to reason out with Aaron Lu on the farmstead matter but Aaron Lu refused to talk about the matter.

That night at the farmstead Ai Qing’s grandfather took out his wife’s photo and remorsefully blamed himself for not safeguarding the farmstead. On the other hand, Aaron Lu recalling what Freddie and Hai Nuo had said earlier, went to Katrina’s apartment and seek her forgiveness which Katrina gladly accepted. Meanwhile Hai Nuo thinking of Ai Qing’s sadness, hopelessness, decided to help Ai Qing. Ai Qing too had also determined to fight all odds to safeguard her grandfather’s farmstead.

Episode 3 ……

Next morning appeared on the headlines in most newspapers the picture of Aaron Lu kissing Ai Qing’s forehead and the scandalous news report on Ai Qing’s catwalk show in the fashion show. The news were seen by Ai Qing’s grandpa and Hai Nuo. Hai Nuo and Ah Bu were at the farmstead to clarify the matter with Ai Qing when Freddie came to remind Ai Qing to move out of the farmstead within 3 days. Hai Nuo and Ai Qing decided to look for Aaron Lu to resolve the farmstead matter. They demanded Freddie to reveal Aaron Lu’s whereabouts.

Hai Nuo accompanied Ai Qing to look for Aaron Lu. They went to the restaurant where Aaron Lu was having breakfast with Katrina. When Ai Qing walked into the restaurant, everybody there looked awkwardly at Ai Qing. Oblivious of the awkwardness, Ai Qing admitted to one of the customers at the restaurant that she’s the girl in the news report. Inorder to avoid moving out of the farmstead, putting aside her self-pride Ai Qing approached Aaron Lu and humbly appealed for Aaron Lu’s consideration to take her in as his worker to take care of the farmstead. But Aaron Lu humiliated Ai Qing and scolded her for disturbing his pleasant breakfast moods. Seeing this, Hai Nuo could no longer remain silent and stepped forward retaliating he would help Ai Qing buy back the farmstead. Hai Nuo’s remarks further angered Aaron Lu. A fuming Aaron Lu revoked his 3 days’ shifting notice and ordered Ai Qing to move out of the farmstead immediately.

Ai Qing then left the restaurant, controlling her tears with Hai Nuo following after her.
Hai Nuo was consoling Ai Qing when he saw Xiang Zhen intimately walking out of the restaurant with a middle-aged man. Excusing himself from Ai Qing, Hai Nuo approached Xiang Zhen wanting to clarify with her but Xiang Zhen ignored Hai Nuo and aboarded the taxi together with the middle-aged man. An anxious Hai Nuo then chased after Xiang Zhen in his motorbike.

On the other hand at the restaurant, a news reporter He Xin was questioning Aaron Lu on the rumours regarding his designs were imitations of other designers’ creations. The reporter’s remarks sparkled Aaron Lu’s anger and Aaron Lu would have punched him if not for Katrina’s intervention.

Ai Qing was at the wishing pond trying to retrieve enough coins for her bus fare to the farmstead when Aaron Lu’s design blueprint flew past her. Ai Qing lost her balance and almost fell into the pond if not for Aaron Lu’s catching hold of her hands. Ai Qing volunteered to retrieve Aaron Lu’s design blueprint from the pond. Looking at Ai Qing’s back while she retrieved his blueprint, at that instant images of a girl he once loved flashed through his mind. Ai Qing passed the blueprint to Aaron Lu while questioning him for not valuing his design blueprint. He Xin (the reporter) interrupted and said that design blueprint was an imitation. However Ai Qing did not believe He Xin’s words and instead helped Aaron Lu to retaliate the reporter: [If I use a ball-point pen to write and you also use a ball-point to write, does this mean you are also doing an imitation?] Aaron Lu smiled upon seeing the reporter dumb-folded by Ai Qing’s words. He Xin then left while Katrina reminded Aaron Lu that they were already late for an art show. Seeing Aaron Lu engrossed with his design blueprint, Katrina decided to attend the art show alone and left Aaron Lu with an uneasy feeling in her heart.

On the other hand Hai Nuo managed to catch up with the taxi Xiang Zhen aboarded and demanded her reasons for leaving the team. Xiang Zhen slapped Hai Nuo and threw angry remarks at Hai Nuo for not remembering the hurt that he had inflicted her few months back when she fainted at a warehouse. Then suddenly Xiang Zhen passed out.

Coming back to Aaron Lu and Ai Qing …… Seeing Ai Qing’s wet jeans, Aaron Lu volunteered to send Ai Qing back to the farmstead. In the car, though Aaron Lu was very silent throughout the journey, Ai Qing felt a streak of warmth and thought Aaron Lu was actually not that bad. Aaron Lu ordered his personal assistant to drive him back to the office first. At the carpark, Ai Qing was relunctant to get out of the car. However having no other choice, Ai Qing followed Aaron Lu into his office. Arriving at the office, Aaron Lu ordered his staff to help Ai Qing change her wet clothes. However his staff misunderstood his instructions and instead dressed up Ai Qing prettily. Wondering what was taking his staff so long to change Ai Qing’s wet clothes, an impatient Aaron Lu bumped into Ai Qing who was walking out of the dressing room. An amazed Aaron Lu stared at the pretty Ai Qing, touching her face gently. At that instant Ai Qing felt her heart beating rapidly and she could feel Aaron Lu’s gentleness and warmth.

Katrina was on her way to meet Aaron Lu at his office when she saw Aaron Lu and Ai Qing inside the lift at such a close proximity. Her jealousy was aroused.

Before Aaron Lu sent Ai Qing home, he treated Ai Qing dinner at a Italian restaurant.
During dinner, Ai Qing asked Aaron Lu why the reporter He Xin said that his designs were imitations. Aaron Lu asked Ai Qing of her opinions on his designs. Ai Qing responded why Aaron Lu cared so much of what people’s opinions. Most important that Aaron Lu had used his own effort and ability in creating his designs and was satisfied with his achievements. Ai Qing’s comments touched a warm spot within Aaron Lu’s heart and Aaron Lu became less aloof while Ai Qing felt Aaron Lu’s loneliness despite his fame and wealth.

When Aaron Lu sent Ai Qing back to the farmstead, Ai Qing took advantage of Aaron Lu’s relaxed disposition to seek Aaron Lu’s consideration of not chasing her and her grandpa out of the farmstead and Ai Qing gave Aaron Lu the wooden pony in return for his consideration. Ai Qing grandpa informed Ai Qing that Hai Nuo was injured. Ai Qing quickly rushed back to Aaron Lu’s car and requested him to send her over to Hai Nuo’s place.

Episode 4 ……

Despite his injuries, next morning Hai Nuo still went to visit Ai Qing and met Freddie at the farmstead. Though Freddie very much liked to help Ai Qing but there was nothing he could do except hoping for a miracle to happen. Ai Qing’s grandpa came running towards them shouting that there’s something wrong with Ai Qing’s favourite goat. They took the goat to the vet (animal doctor) who saved the goat’s life. Hai Nuo seeing Ai Qing’s love for the goat and her unhappiness, he pestered Freddie to help Ai Qing by letting Ai Qing and her grandpa to move into the wooden shack next to the farmstead’s main building.

Meanwhile Aaron Lu was deep in thoughts while holding the wooden pony when Katrina walked into the room and enquired where Aaron had been last night. Aaron was relunctant to discuss the matter and changed the subject enquiring about Xiang Zhen’s well being instead.

While at the hospital, Xiang Zhen reminisced in her mind a happy picture of Hai Nuo and her with their child. She decided to forgive Hai Nuo.

Ai Qing thanked Freddie for helping her by letting her stay in the nearby wooden shack. Freddie was full of praises for Hai Nuo and requested Ai Qing to call Hai Nuo with his ell phone. Instead Ai Qing asked Freddie for Aaron Lu’s cell phone number.

Cosmo (Katrina’s dad) questioned Aaron Lu about the scandalous news of his fashion show. Katrina helped Aaron explained the matter. Cosmo wanted Aaron and Katrina to get married immediately. However Aaron expressed the need to discuss marriage matters with his parents first which angered Cosmo and he ordered Katrina to fly back to Italy. Aaron could no longer tolerate Cosmo’s dominance. Katrina felt Aaron had changed since meeting Ai Qing and a heated argument ensued between them.

It was unfortunate for Ai Qing to call Aaron for his decision regarding the farmstead when Aaron was still fuming after the argument with Katrina. Aaron just pissed Ai Qing off over the cell phone for disturbing him. A mad Ai Qing decided to go ahead with her plans to spite Aaron. Images of Ai Qing flashed through Aaron’s mind which helped to cool down his fury. Aaron’s mother showed concern and unknowingly Aaron discussed with his mother about Ai Qing.

Next morning, Ai Qing was chatting with her herd of goats, requesting them to help her fight back for the farmstead. Ai Qing almost chickened out but Freddie lamented this was Ai Qing’s last chance to fight back for the farmstead.

Meanwhile at the hospital Hai Nuo advised Xiang Zhen to abort the baby. Xiang Zhen became very angry and madly threw things at Hai Nuo. Xiang Zhen was real heartbroken when Hai Nuo admitted his love for Ai Qing. Xiang Zhen refused to abort the baby and Hai Nuo promised he would take care of her baby throughout his life.

Aaron Lu was in the midst of hosting a cocktail party officiating a ceremony for setting up his studio at the farmstead when Ai Qing’s herd of goats ran scatteringly into the crowd. There was a commotion, everyone running into the main building trying to avoid being knocked off by the goats. Aaron Lu protected Katrina and this ended the hostility between them. As one of Ai Qing’s goat bumped into He Xin making him fall. Angrily He Xin lifted a wooden chair wanting to hit at the goat. On hearing Aaron’s offer, Ai Qing jumped to joy and quickly called for the ambulance to send Aaron Lu for treatment to his back injury. Both Katrina and Ai Qing were anxious about Aaron’s back injury and enquired the examining doctor if Aaron Lu should abstain from any food.

When the three of them were about to leave the hospital, they heard people shouting that someone was trying to commit suicide. They looked up the building and saw Xiang Zhen trying to jump out of the ward window with Hai Nuo forcefully pulling her back. Ai Qing then rushed into the hospital heading for Xiang Zhen’s ward with Aaron and Katrina following from behind. When Ai Qing walked into Xiang Zhen’s ward room, saw Hai Nuo trying to calm down an outraged Xiang Zhen on the bed and heard Xiang Zhen’s outburst remark that she’s pregnant with Hai Nuo’s baby. Abu tried to explain but was interrupted by a call from Jie Bu Zai (吉普赛) threatening to harm Hai Nuo’s friends if Hai Nuo refused to meet him.

Upon receiving the call, Hai Nuo left immediately with Ai Qing following and shouting after him for mistreating Xiang Zhen. Both Aaron and Katrina advised Xiang Zhen to rest well and invited her to make a comeback into modeling. Xiang Zhen responded her mind was only on the safety of Hai Nuo and appealed for Aaron’s help. Aaron seek Katrina’s consent. When Katrina gave her consent, Aaron quickly left the room and Katrina wondered if Aaron’s intention was to help Hai Nuo or worried for Ai Qing’s safety.

Hai Nuo and Abu managed to rescue their friends. However Ba Wang (霸王), wanting to help Xiang Zhen to release her wrath on Hai Nuo, began beating up Hai Nuo. Hai Nuo did not ward off Ba Wang’s fist punches. Then he angrily walked out of the warehouse with his friends warning Hai Nuo not to mistreat Xiang Zhen. Jie Bu Zai regained consciousness and wanted to hit Hai Nuo quietly from behind but was stopped by Ai Qing. Instead Jie Bu Zai tried to hit Ai Qing with the steel rod but landed on Hai Nuo’s back who shielded Ai Qing from being hit. Hai Nuo managed to overcome Jie Bu Zai and beat him till he fainted. Over-concerned for Ai Qing’s safety, Hai Nuo scolded Ai Qing for endangering herself to protect him from Jie Bu Zai’s beating. Ai Qing retaliated with a slap on Hai Nuo’s face for mistreating Xiang Zhen and she would no longer care for him. Then she ran out of the warehouse with Hai Nuo chasing after her along the streets. Hai Nuo managed to catch up with Ai Qing and appealed for Ai Qing to be his steady girlfriend. Ai Qing refused to listen to Hai Nuo’s appeal, kept telling Hai Nuo not to mistreat Xiang Zhen ….. till Hai Nuo forcefully kissed her lips to stop Ai Qing’s rumblings. Both of them was unaware of Aaron’s presence there who felt uneasy seeing Hai Nuo kissing Ai Qing
